Projects – RAAF BASE East Sale Redevelopment

East Sale RAAF Base Air Traffic Control Tower & Physical Fitness Facility:

The East Sale RAAF Base in 2014 undertook an expansion project to construct a new Air Traffic Control Tower, Air Traffic Training Facility & Physical Fitness Centre.

The $3M project was awarded to GBG as part of an East Sale RAAF Development Project awarded to Thiess.   GBG provided 2 work fronts and had approximately 30 employees on site.

Works Included:

  • Piling works
  • Strip & pad footings
  • Raft Slabs
  • Concrete Stairs
  • Supply and erection of Pre-cast panels including multi-level pre-cast tower core for the new air traffic control tower
  • Wet joints between pre-cast panels
  • Bondek suspended slabs upper floor areas of the air traffic control tower
